Refund policy

Return Policy

Many KAUREUM pieces are made to order, personalized, or produced in small quantities. Because of the individual nature of our jewelry, return eligibility varies by piece.

If you would like to request a return, please contact KAUREUM within 7 days of delivery. All returns require prior authorization.

Approved non-defective returns are issued as KAUREUM store credit. We do not offer cash refunds for change-of-mind returns.

Requesting a Return

To request a return, please contact us within 7 days of confirmed delivery and include:

  • Your order number

  • The item you would like to return

  • The reason for your return

Submitting a return request does not automatically guarantee that an item is eligible for return.

We'll review your order and the individual piece and let you know whether the return can be accepted, along with any applicable restocking fee and return instructions.

Return Eligibility

Return eligibility varies depending on the piece, materials, personalization, and whether the jewelry was made or altered specifically for you.

To be considered for return, an eligible item must be:

  • Unworn and unused

  • In its original condition

  • Free from damage, scratches, alterations, or signs of wear

  • Returned with its original packaging and any accompanying materials

  • Shipped according to the return instructions provided by KAUREUM

KAUREUM reserves the right to decline a return if the item does not meet the applicable return requirements.

Store Credit

Approved non-defective returns are issued as KAUREUM store credit rather than a refund to the original payment method.

Store credit will be issued after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Any applicable restocking fees, return shipping costs, or other authorized deductions will be deducted before the store credit is issued.

Original customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and other charges paid to third parties are not refundable by KAUREUM.

Restocking Fees

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee based on the individual piece.

Because our jewelry varies significantly in material, production, customization, and value, we do not apply one universal restocking fee to every item.

Any applicable restocking fee will be disclosed on the product listing and/or communicated to you when your return request is reviewed and before the return is authorized.

Restocking fees apply to approved non-defective returns and are not charged when KAUREUM determines that an item qualifies for remedy under our defect coverage.

Final Sale Items

Certain pieces are created specifically for an individual customer and are therefore final sale unless determined by KAUREUM to have a qualifying manufacturing defect.

Final-sale items may include:

  • Custom and bespoke jewelry

  • Personalized jewelry

  • Engraved pieces

  • Jewelry altered or resized specifically at the customer's request

  • Pieces created using customer-supplied stones, heirloom jewelry, or other customer-supplied materials

  • Special-order pieces or specially sourced materials

  • Items otherwise identified as final sale on the product listing

Please review the individual product listing carefully before placing your order.

Custom & Bespoke Orders

Custom and bespoke jewelry is final sale.

Custom pieces are developed and produced specifically according to the approved design, specifications, materials, sizing, stones, personalization, and other details of the individual project.

Once a custom order has entered design or production, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

A change of mind after approving a custom design does not qualify the piece for return, refund, or store credit.

If you believe your custom piece has a manufacturing defect, please contact us within the applicable defect-reporting period so we can evaluate the issue.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for approved non-defective returns unless KAUREUM states otherwise.

Returns must be shipped using the instructions provided with your return authorization.

Depending on the value of the piece, KAUREUM may require tracking, insurance, and/or signature confirmation for the return shipment.

Please package jewelry securely. KAUREUM is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from inadequate packaging or failure to follow the provided return instructions.

Do not send jewelry back without first receiving return authorization.

International Returns

International customers are responsible for any return shipping costs and any customs, brokerage, duties, taxes, or other charges associated with returning an approved non-defective item to KAUREUM.

When returning an item internationally, please follow the customs and shipping instructions provided with your return authorization.

KAUREUM is not responsible for customs delays or charges resulting from incorrectly declared return shipments.

Customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, and other charges originally paid by the customer to a government, carrier, or other third party are not refundable by KAUREUM.

Exchanges

Because many KAUREUM pieces are made to order, we do not guarantee direct exchanges.

If you would like a different size, material, color, design, or piece, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

When an item is eligible for return, we may authorize its return for store credit, which can then be applied toward another KAUREUM piece.

Any applicable price difference, restocking fee, new production cost, shipping cost, or other charge will apply.

Defective Items

A manufacturing defect is different from a change-of-mind return.

If your jewelry arrives with a manufacturing defect or a workmanship issue becomes apparent within 7 days of delivery, please contact us promptly with your order number, photographs, and a description of the issue.

Qualifying manufacturing defects are evaluated separately under our 7-Day Defect Coverage and are not subject to a restocking fee.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, loss, improper care, external damage, natural material variations, and changes of mind are not considered manufacturing defects.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If you receive an incorrect item or your order arrives damaged, please contact us promptly and retain all jewelry, packaging, and shipping materials.

Include clear photographs of the item, packaging, and shipping label when applicable so we can evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate next step.

Please do not return the item before receiving instructions from KAUREUM.

Cancellations & Order Changes

If you need to request a cancellation or change, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.

Because many pieces enter production specifically for the customer, we cannot guarantee cancellations or modifications once production has begun.

Custom, bespoke, personalized, engraved, resized, and other specially produced orders may become final sale once design, sourcing, personalization, or production has commenced.
