Warranty & Repairs

Made with care. Here when your jewelry needs it.

We stand behind the craftsmanship of every KAUREUM piece.

Jewelry is made to be worn, and with wear comes a life of its own. While normal signs of wear are part of that story, your jewelry should arrive free from manufacturing defects.

If something isn't right, we're here to help.

7-Day Defect Coverage

Every KAUREUM piece is covered against manufacturing defects and workmanship issues reported within 7 days of delivery.

If you believe your jewelry arrived defective or a manufacturing issue becomes apparent during this period, please contact us with:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs of the piece

  • A brief description of the issue

We'll review your request and determine the appropriate resolution based on the nature of the issue.

What Is Considered a Manufacturing Defect?

A manufacturing defect is an issue resulting from the construction or workmanship of the piece rather than from wear, use, accidental damage, or outside forces.

Because every situation is different, KAUREUM will evaluate reported issues individually to determine whether they qualify as a manufacturing defect.

What Isn't Covered?

Our 7-day defect coverage does not cover:

  • Changes of mind or personal preference

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Fine scratches, surface marks, or naturally developing patina

  • Accidental damage

  • Broken or damaged jewelry resulting from pulling, snagging, impact, pressure, or improper handling

  • Lost jewelry

  • Lost stones or components resulting from damage or external force

  • Damage caused by improper care or storage

  • Exposure to chemicals or conditions inappropriate for the material

  • Natural variations in gemstones, pearls, or other materials

  • Normal changes to plated or surface-finished jewelry with wear

  • Alterations, repairs, resizing, or other work performed by a third party

Normal Wear Is Part of the Story

Jewelry changes with wear.

Solid gold may develop fine scratches and a subtle patina. 24K gold is naturally soft and may develop impressions or surface marks more readily. Plated and surface-finished jewelry can gradually change depending on wear, environment, and individual skin chemistry.

Natural gemstones and pearls may also display variations in color, texture, inclusions, shape, and surface characteristics.

These qualities are inherent to the materials and are not considered manufacturing defects.

We believe the subtle marks accumulated through a life of wear can become part of what makes a piece uniquely yours.

Repairs

Beyond the first 7 days.

If your KAUREUM jewelry needs attention outside the 7-day defect period, we're still happy to help.

Depending on the piece and the nature of the damage, repair services may include:

  • Chain repair or replacement

  • Clasp repair

  • Stone or setting evaluation

  • Earring component replacement

  • Resizing where the design allows

  • Refinishing or polishing

  • Other design-specific repairs

Repair availability and pricing are determined after evaluation. Some repairs may require the piece to be returned to us for inspection before we can provide a final estimate.

Repair fees, materials, shipping, and other associated costs may apply.

Lost Earrings & Components

Lost an earring or component? Contact us with your original order information and we'll determine whether a replacement can be made.

Because gemstones, materials, finishes, and production can vary over time, an exact match cannot always be guaranteed.

Replacement pieces are subject to availability and applicable charges.

Custom & Personalized Jewelry

Custom, bespoke, personalized, engraved, and made-to-order jewelry may require additional evaluation because of the individual nature of each piece.

If you experience an issue with a custom or personalized piece, contact us with your order number, photographs, and a description of the issue.

We'll review the piece individually and advise you on the available options.

Third-Party Repairs & Alterations

We strongly recommend contacting KAUREUM before having your jewelry repaired, resized, refinished, altered, or otherwise modified by another jeweler.

Work performed by a third party can change the structure, finish, stones, or integrity of a piece.

Damage or issues resulting from third-party repairs, alterations, resizing, or modifications are not covered by KAUREUM's defect coverage.

How to Request Assistance

If your piece needs attention, please contact us and include:

1. Your order number
2. Clear photographs of the jewelry
3. A description of what happened or the issue you've noticed

Please discontinue wearing a piece if you notice a loose stone, damaged setting, broken clasp, compromised chain, or another condition that could result in further damage or loss.

We'll review the information and let you know the appropriate next step.

A Note on Returns

Our 7-day defect coverage is not a return, exchange, or change-of-mind policy.

Return eligibility is governed separately by our Return Policy and may vary for made-to-order, personalized, engraved, custom, final-sale, or otherwise specially produced pieces.
